Climate change and the Obama roadshow ...

An item on The Gorse Fox alerted me to this most interesting item in "The Register", an American publication. IT reproduces a letter written by the man who headed the NASA team that has given us the hysterical "manmade global warming" and points out that the scientists behind that scam have manipulated the models and the data until it shows what they want it to show.

Frankly, it ain't science and it ain't as transparent as the eco-terrorists of Greenpeace, Fiends of the Earth and their cohorts like to claim. What's more it calls into question the real science which shows that we don't understand the mechanisms at work here and panders to the hysterical anti-science that is the mainstream media functioning on fear, gloom and bad news to sell their badly researched and badl written drivel.

Thansk GF for the heads up. I heartily recommend the read.

If Mr Obama and his "advisers" plan to use any of this garbage in formulating their policies I suggest they talk to the man who wrote this piece first. Otherwise they will simply enrich the fraudulent and give power to the eco-terror mob.

There is an amusing scene in a vintage Laurel and Hardy skit that I recently discovered in which a piano is about to fall from the 10th story window. L & H are directly below, dufusing (in a manner of a dufus) about the merits of music (I think).

They dismiss the urgent warning being shouted down from that window, refusing to look up at the impending danger. You seem to be there with the two dufuses, refusing to look up.

Vito, I'm flattered to be compared to a pair of the great comedians. However, you, like so many in the Chicken Licken brigade, have missed the point. The climate is changing. There is no argument with that. The argument is about the abuse of science and the misrepresentation of fact which lies at the heart of the Green campaign. Many of the "remedies" you and those like you are campaigning to impose on the rest of us address matters which may, in themselves, create further problems. This is a very complex issue, ne that cannot be reduced to simplistic solutions and, if you really want to get right down to it, the root of the problem is over popultaion, particularly in the Third World countries so many Green lobbyists also like to present as amodel for the rest of us.

The Climate Scientists Mr Obama is now taking on board as "advisers" have been extremely economic with the facts. Their models do not include the effect of the oceans, n fact only recently have they even begun to work out what effect this has, and they do not model anything above 1 mile in the atmosphere. Many of the models are deeply flawed and riddled with "assumptions" which are not supported by hard data and, what is worse, when the data actually refutes the assupmtion - it is ignored because to adpt it would change the "model".

If you bothered to read both sides of the argument instead of swallowing whole the half truths and science fictions peddled by the Green Climate "Scientists" you would very rapidly discover that it is altered and twisted to target the media and the politicians in order to whip up "Research Funding" and perpetuate certain lines of enquiry and exclude others.

By all means mock those of us who don't believe the half truths, just remember that only thirty years ago, the same data was being used to predict a new Ice Age.
